Travel Log
At some point in the middle of the night, some sort of critter steals our trash. It wakes up Robert and he has to get up to chase it away.
This is a short day of 25mi so we can get some rest so I wake up nice and late at 9am. Crows torture Robert as we leave the campsite trying to peck him. The crows here have a different kind of caw, like they are laughing at you. We check out the shrine near by and then the road at 11am.

Make it to Enbetsu for ice cream around noon and stop into a Seicomart for some snacks. We leave at 1pm thinking that we can make it to Teshio by 1pm for lunch, but we hit some delays and then saw a friend we met earlier, Nigel. It means we leave at 2pm and don’t get to Teshio till 3pm where everything is closed for lunch. This means we have to eat at another Seicomart.

I’m very angry at timing because as much as I love and appreciate Seicomarts, I don’t exactly want to eat at them twice in a day. We make it to our campsite, do some laundry, James heads to an onsen, and we meet for dinner altogether at 7:30pm.

I pushed for us to go to a ramen restaurant and everything was made up as I got to try the locally caught mini clams which are a specialty in this area. They are delicious. We hit an onsen and then fall asleep.
